Hey Rachel-

I am praying for you and the team as you begin your fast. Be encouraged that people all over are supporting you and praying for you.

So far so good. I had a salad and veggies for dinner, fruit and decaf green tea for breakfast and we stocked up on lunches yesterday @ Publix. Expensive! I wasn't talking to Craig b/c he gave my Raisinettes away @ the retreat. I've forgiven him though. Thanks for all of the prayers!

Well, Molly and I decided to join, a day late. We went and got all the groceries last night (ouch). So far, so good, but I am only 12 hours in. Sorry Heather, we got the Raisinettes, and they are gone. It definitely makes me pray when I am hungry and trust that God is with me. Good luck everyone, we are praying for you.

Today is a little better than yesterday. I was so tired and not feeling 100%! My favorite snack so far is an apple with peanut butter. I found some good info on some other sites. "Vitamin C - an antioxidant that supports detox. It may also help to decrease some of the side effects of the Fast, such as mild headaches." http://danielfast.wordpress.com/
I want to find some other recipes that I can make so I am not eating the same thing. So if you eat something good let me know! John and I went to Whole Foods yesterday and they have a great selection plus if you want a quick meal to go they have a hot and cold bar with great things we can eat. I want to go to the "The Grit" in Athens because they serve Vegan foods. I heard it is good. Otherwise I am hanging in there and trying to stick with it. Trusting that God will get me through.

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Oh I am sorry. I was just praying at my desk. (I wasn't sleeping).

I am actually doing really good. I was very tired yesterday afternoon and Julie and I slept for over 10 hours last night. I think our body needed the rest. Today has been good. I ate oatmeal with natural peanut butter for breakfast with a Venti Caramel Macchiato. J/K. I had a salad for lunch and have been wearing out a bag of pistachios and some figs. This should make for an interesting morning tomorrow. I am glad to hear all of you are doing good. Hang in there and always remember that if you start to want to eat the soles of your shoes, that is a good sign that it is time to start praying!!!
